UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Frannie Crouse (Greensburg, Pa.) was named the Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week for Nov. 3 after scoring Penn State's lone goal in the team's 1-0 win over Maryland in the regular season finale.
This is her third Freshman of the Week honor this season.
Crouse scored Penn State's lone goal in a 1-0 win over Maryland, using her speed to outrun the Terrapins and taking a shot that tipped off the goaltender's hand, hit the nearside post and bounced into the net. The tally marked her team-leading ninth of the season. She also has a Penn State-best 19 points on the year.
Up next for Crouse and the Nittany Lions is the Big Ten Tournament, hosted by Purdue. Penn State opens the tournament on Wed., Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. against eighth-seeded Northwestern.
