NEW YORK - Penn State's Pinstripe Bowl festivities officially kicked off on Monday afternoon when eight buses and the equipment truck departed Happy Valley bound for New York City.
The Nittany Lions practiced on Monday morning before lunch and the four-hour ride to Manhattan. Penn State will participate in a wide-range of activities in the days leading up to Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl matchup against Boston College in Yankee Stadium (4:30 p.m. on ESPN). The team events include a visit to the 9/11 Memorial on Tuesday, dinner in Little Italy, viewing the city from the "Top of the Rock" observation deck and opening the New York Stock Exchange on Friday.
Penn State will practice each day at Fordham University and will stay at the Hilton Midtown. Stay tuned for continuing coverage from the Pinstripe Bowl events as the Nittany Lions prepare for the program's 45th bowl game.
