UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Sophomore midfielder/forward Laura Freigang (Oppenheim, Germany) has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for the week of Nov. 6-12. This is the second-straight week that Freigang has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week.
Last Friday, Freigang tallied the 21st hat trick in program history in Penn State's 7-0 victory over Stony Brook in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Freigang netted all three of her goals within the first 38 minutes of play.
The No. 10 and third-seeded Nittany Lions take on No. 24 Wake Forest on Friday, Nov. 17, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Morgantown, W.Va. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
