UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Women's Tennis team will hit the road again in pursuit of another successful weekend at the Northern ITA Regionals hosted by the Naval Academy. The tournament will begin on Friday, Oct. 1and wrap on Monday, Oct. 4.
Throughout the weekend the Nittany Lions will be battling The Naval Academy, George Mason, George Washington, Maryland, Howard, Towson, Morgan, Coppin State, Mount St. Mary's, St. Joesph, Duquesne, and Delaware in an eventful weekend of tennis match-ups.
Penn State is coming off trips from Virginia and Virginia Tech where they competed in the Wahoowa Invitational and the Hoki Fall Invite.
Freshman, Yvonne Zuffova captured her first colligate bracket win. Other singles wins included Sofiya Chekylstova and Gabrielle O'Gorman. In doubles play, duos Karly Friedland and Yvonne Zuffova as well as Sofiya Checkylstova and Gabrielle O'Gorman found success.
Following the Northern ITA Regionals, Penn State will continue to the ITA Women's All-American Championships.
