UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's ice hockey team completed the series sweep of Robert Morris with a 4-1 victory on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, the Nittany Lions came in hot and scored the first goal of the game 3:19 into the second period off the stick of Tessa Janecke, with an assist by Stella Retrum.
- The Colonials responded quickly with a power-play goal scored by forward Mya Neugent with an assist from Thalia D'Elia 6:56 into period two to tie the game at 1-1.
- With 7:25 remaining in the second period, Janecke found the net and scored a short-handed goal to put Penn State ahead 2-1.
- Only 3:50 into period three, the Nittany Lions scored their third goal coming off the stick of junior forward Mya Vaslet during the power-play.
- Senior forward Brianna Brooks scored her third goal of the season and Penn State's fourth goal of the game with an assist from Julie Gough with only 2:02 remaining in the third period.

Josie Bothun held the Colonials to one goal out of 21 shots to improve to 7-6-1 on the season.

- Sophomore forward Tessa Janecke tallied her second multi-goal game of the year.
