Location Change for Women’s Basketball at UCLA

The Lady Lions and Bruins will face off in Walter Pyramid at Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Calif.- Due to concerns surrounding area wildfires, Wednesday’s women’s basketball game against UCLA will be played at the Walter Pyramid on Long Beach State’s campus.

Understanding the impact of the wildfires on the greater Los Angeles area and with the health and well-being of all student-athletes as the priority, Penn State Athletics has engaged in discussions with our medical director, the Big Ten Conference administration and Chief Medical Officer, as well as administrators from both USC and UCLA. From those discussions, precautionary measures have been taken and contingency plans for alternative venues were put in place. Based on those considerations, the Penn State women's basketball program will play its game as scheduled at Galen Center against USC on Sunday, Jan.12 and play its game at Walter Pyramid against UCLA on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
