UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 11 Penn State women's ice hockey returns back to Pegula Ice Arena for a two-game series against RIT starting Friday, January 10 at 2 p.m.

HISTORY
- Penn State is facing RIT for the 61st and 62nd times in program history.
- The Nittany Lions currently lead the series 36-16-8.
- The last time the two teams faced each other was on February 24, 2024 in the CHA Semifinals where the Nittany Lions defeated the Tigers 4-0.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS - RIT enters the series with an 11-8-3 overall record and a 4-3-1 record in AHA play.
- They are coming off a pair of wins against Post on January 3-4 by scores of 4-1, and 4-3.
- Leading their offense is Kylie Aquaro who tallies 22 points on eight goals and 14 assists.
- In net stands Sarah Coe who tallies a record of 6-4-1, GAA of 2.34, and save percentage of .916.

- ParkMobile prepayment availability ends at 11:59 p.m. the night before each event. Events will not be selectable on the site after that time, and payment must then be made on site upon arrival to event parking staff (cash only).
DOWN GOES NO. 3!
- For the first time in program history, Penn State defeated No. 3 Minnesota by a score of 6-2 on January 4.
- The Nittany Lions scored four answered goals in the first period and all six were scored by different Nittany Lion players.
- Junior Katie DeSa tallied 32 saves in the win to mark her fourth straight win of the year.
- Senior Brianna Brooks captured her 100th career point as well with a goal she scored in the first period.
- She became the sixth Nittany Lion in program history to hit 100 career points.
- It was the third time this season the Nittany Lions have defeated a nationally ranked team.
ON THE VERGE OF HISTORY
- Following another four-point weekend for junior forward Tessa Janecke, she now sits two points away from tying the all-time points leader in Natalie Heising with 137.
- In Janecke's three seasons at Penn State, she's tallied 55 goals and 80 assists for 135 points.
- She sits third on the all-time goals list and first in career assists.
100 CAREER GAMES CLUB
- Three Penn State players sit two games away from hitting 100 career games.
- Juniors Tessa Janecke, Maddy Christian, and Katelyn Roberts each have played in 98 career games.
- They are anticipated to hit the 100 career games mark in Saturday's game against RIT.
- The three combined have tallied 79 points, 43 assists and 36 goals this season.
