Penn State Women’s Gymnastics to Compete in 2025 NCAA Regional Tournament

Nittany Lions compete Thursday at 1 p.m. in Rec Hall

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s gymnastics team is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Regional Tournament in Happy Valley on Thursday, April 3 at 1 p.m. The squad is slated to take on No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Kentucky and Ohio State in Rec Hall for day two of competition.

PARKING

Due to competition occurring on a weekday, general day-of parking will not be available in the Nittany or West decks. The following parking options will be available:

  • Nittany Deck(ADA parking only) - $5.50 day-of, no pre-sale parking is available, ADA placard or plate required at the entrance.
  • Commuter Lots- $1 per hour for general day-of parking.

LAST TIME OUT

Penn State competed in the 2025 Big Ten Tournament, tallying 196.050 points total. The team, primarily made up of underclassmen, recorded multiple impressive finishes, including sophomore Alyssa Kramer’s 9.9 first-place floor routine.

BEAM

The Nittany Lions started the day on the beam, led off by Ashley Maul who tied for her career best of 9.875. Fellow sophomore Dani Latronica followed, posting another 9.875 for Penn State. Fifth year Maddie Johnston led the team on beam with an impressive score of 9.9. In total, the Nittany Lions posted a 49.075 on beam to start the session.

FLOOR

Penn State shined on the floor, with a key 9.9 performance from Alyssa Kramer, which tied her for first in the event. Bella Misiura and Elizabeth Leary also performed impressively on the floor, each earning a score of 9.825. In total, the team made up of four freshman and two sophomores posted a 48.975 in the event.

VAULT

The team put up a high 48.850 in vault, led by high scores from Maddie Johnston and Leary. Johnston continued her impressive outing leading the team in vault with a 9.825. Leary was not far behind, tallying a 9.8.

BARS

The Nittany Lions finished strong on bars, tallying a competition-high score of 49.150. Johnston capped her impressive Big Ten outing with a clean 9.85, followed by teammates Cassi Barbanete and Dani Latronica also posting 9.85. Leary finished her strong day with a 9.8, with graduate Gabbie Gallentine closing out the rotation with another 9.8.
