ESPN’s College GameDay Set for Old Main Lawn on Saturday

Lining up for Pit access begins at 5:30 a.m. Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – ESPN’s College GameDay will return to University Park for the 12th time in its storied history on Saturday, September 27, ahead of the highly anticipated White Out matchup between the No. 2/2 Nittany Lions and the No. 6/5 Oregon Ducks. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The iconic college football pregame show will air live from 9 a.m. to noon on Old Main lawn. This marks the 26th time College GameDay has been hosted at the site of a Penn State game, including two unofficial appearances.

This year’s visit to Happy Valley marks the second consecutive season the show has featured Penn State at home. Last season, College GameDay broadcasted live from outside West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium on Nov. 2 for the Penn State-Ohio State matchup.

Rece Davis is at the helm for his 11th season, joined at the desk by GameDay analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban.

Wear White!

We want to bring the White Out to Old Main Lawn and College GameDay on Saturday! Fans are encouraged to wear white to the show and show their Penn State spirit.

Pollock Road Closed Starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday
To accommodate setup for the program, the following road closures and parking adjustments will be in place:

  • Pollock Road is closed between Fraser Road and the entrance of the Brown B parking lot through Saturday. The closure will extend from Burrowes Road to Shortlidge Road on Saturday.
  • The Old Main parking lot will be closed through Saturday to provide a staging area for ESPN production vehicles. ROO permit holders who normally park at Old Main will be temporarily reassigned to the section of Brown A parking located behind Willard Building.
  • The Brown A parking area behind Willard Building will be reserved for ROO permits only, except for ADA spaces, through Saturday. All vehicles, including department vehicles, must be removed from this lot immediately. Overflow parking for Brown A permit holders is available in Red A.
  • Due to Saturday's extended closure of Pollock Road between Burrowes Road and Pollock Road, the Brown B and Brown E parking areas will also be closed to all users on Saturday. Permit holders in need of parking during these hours should park at the Eisenhower or Nittany decks. Any University departments with vehicles parked in these lots that may need to access them during these hours must relocate their vehicles to another parking area prior to midnight Friday night.
