KICKIN’ IT
Penn State called on senior forward Amelia White to deliver a decisive score in her return to her home state, and the Fort Wayne, Indiana, native provided the lone tally of the night as the Nittany Lions defeated the Purdue Boilermakers by a 1-0 decision from Folk Field on Thursday. The Blue & White utilized an overwhelming defensive effort and opportunistic attack to help propel PSU to an 8-5-3 record and 4-3-2 mark against Big Ten competition with two opportunities left in the regular season. In an all-time series that dates back to 1998, the Nittany Lions secured their first win since 2021 and published their 19th consecutive unbeaten finish. PSU notched its 20th all-time win over Purdue and moved to 20-1-3 overall in the series. In a triumphant return to her home state, White netted one of her more memorable goals as a Nittany Lion to mark her fifth goal of the season against the Boilermakers. White now owns 12 points on the year split between five goals and a pair of assists, making her the third-leading scorer on Penn State’s roster this season. The fourth-year standout notched her 10th score as a college athlete and picked up her fourth collegiate match-winning score in the process, with her trio of match winners in 2025 leading the Nittany Lion roster.
Since the start of Big Ten Conference play on September 11, graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean has been a force to be reckoned with in the attack. The Excelsior, Minnesota, native ranks as the second-leading scorer in the Big Ten when isolating performances against conference competitors. In league action, MacBean stands second in the conference in total points with 12 behind Michigan State's Kennedy Bell (13), while pacing the conference with six goals against B1G competition this year. White ranks tied for ninth in the league since the start of conference play with eight points on four goals. The Nittany Lion roster has impressed in conference matchups on both ends of the pitch, with PSU registering five multi-goal outings against B1G foes through nine opportunities. Penn State's redshirt junior goalkeeper Mackenzie Gress is fresh off her second individual clean sheet of the 2025 season and her first complete-match shutout in Big Ten play. PSU's goalkeeping and defense has allowed one goal or fewer against six of nine B1G challengers this year.

HASSLING THE HOOSIERS
Led by seven-year head coaching veteran Josh Rife in his first season at the helm in Bloomington, the Indiana Hoosiers enter their second-to-last home match of the 2025 season wielding a 4-5-6 overall record coupled with a 1-3-5 ledger against Big Ten Conference competitors. Indiana is fresh off a difficult 2-0 defeat at home against No. 16 Michigan State Thursday. Ledwith boasts five goals and three assists for 13 points on the year. Between the pipes, Sally Rainey and Dani Jacobson have split the entire season, with Rainey booking 679 minutes and Jacobson logging 671.
