UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State men’s tennis freshman Kyle Chesman has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Chesman went undefeated in Penn State’s doubleheader on Saturday. In the first match against Georgetown, Chesman earned a 6-3 doubles win and defeated his singles opponent 6-4, 6-1.
In match two against Mercyhurst, Chesman earned another doubles win, defeating the opposing team 6-2, and took down his singles competition 6-3, 6-4.
Chesman is currently 5-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles for the spring season.
