Janecke concluded her Penn State career as one of the most decorated athletes in school history on Friday night at the program’s first Frozen Four, hosted by Penn State at Pegula Ice Arena. She scored twice in the overtime loss to Wisconsin that saw the program set a new Women's Frozen Four and program attendance record with 5,176 fans.
She is the Penn State hockey, men’s and women’s, all-time leading scorer with 201 points on 89 goals and 112 assists. Janecke is the program’s only three-time Top-10 Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.
The captain helped lead the Nittany Lions to their first NC Women's Ice Hockey Championship win as the team defeated No. 6 UConn, 3-0, on March 14. The Blue & White hosted a regional for the first time in program history after capturing its fourth consecutive AHA Tournament Championship.
The Orangeville, Illinois native earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, becoming the first gold medalist to take home gold in the Winter Olympics in the history of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. She has also won gold at the 2023 and 2025 IIHF World Championships with the United States.
