Season: Set PR in the 400mH at the IC4A/ECAC Championships…Qualified for the finals and finished fourth at the A10 Outdoor Championships.
Robert Morris Mid-Week PR Bonanza (4/5): Set PRs in the 100m (11.25) and 200m (22.31) as he ramped up competition for the postseason. Bison Outdoor Classic (4/14-16): Finished ninth in the 400mH with a 54.71. A10 Outdoor Championships (5/6-7): Qualified for the finals in the 400mH where he ran a 53.77 to finish fourth in the conference…Placed ninth in the 4x400, helping his team to a 3:20.54. IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships (5/12-14): Set a lifetime-best mark with a 53.61 in the 400mH, good for sixth overall.

Attended Hamption High School where he ran track, played football, and played basketball…Qualified for states in the 300mH, triple jump, and 4x400…Three-time First Team All-Conference in football.

Son of Jacque and Bonnie DeMatteo…Has one sister, Anna…Father, Jacque, played football and baseball at Clarion…enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking, and hiking…Studying telecommunications at Penn State…Chose Penn State because “I have always grown up with a Penn State family, having relatives that live in State College, and I have always wanted to compete at the highest level there is. Penn State is at the top in college sports and when I was offered the opportunity to be a part of this university, I couldn’t pass that up. Go State!”
