Sist-Morris is entering her 20th year working at Big Ten Conference Athletics programs, and is currently serving as a clinical associate at Penn State. In her current role, Sist-Morris works closely with campus staff and athletics to best support student-athletes. Her responsibilities include delivering personalized coaching to student-athletes, supporting them in time management, stress reduction and finances, as well as attending high performance meetings with select teams. She helps student-athletes strengthen critical areas of their mental health, which directly impacts their athletic success. Sist-Morris assists with crisis calls, delivery of mental health trainings to athletes and staff, as well as yoga and mindfulness classes to student-athletes.
Sist-Morris' previous role as the director of retention & learning services at Indiana University allowed her to develop significant expertise in academic support, student-athlete retention and management strategies. Her extensive background in academic coaching has translated seamlessly into her current work at Penn State, where she continues to advocate for an inclusive, supportive and equitable environment for all student-athletes. She is also an active participant in team performance meetings within the department, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall wellbeing of student-athletes.
Sist-Morris holds a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation services from Penn State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University, continuing this degree at Penn State. She is currently pursuing further education at Penn State, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional growth and supporting the student-athletes she serves.
Outside of her professional role, Sist-Morris shares a strong connection to the Penn State community with her husband, Tom Morris, who serves as the Assistant Athletics Director of High Performance. Both are proud Penn State alumni and reside in Boalsburg with their dog, Dexter.
