UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Lady Lions (5-2) are back at the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center to take on #11/10 Duke (5-2) on Sunday, December 2 at 5 p.m., as part of the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The game can be seen on ESPN2. Sunday is a 4 for $40 day in which fans will receive four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks for $40. Fans will also receive a reversible Lady Lion winter hat giveaway while supplies last.

Penn State students will have an opportunity to enter to win a chance at a half court shot at halftime to win free books for the spring semester, courtesy of Lady Lion head coach Coquese Washington.

The Big Ten and the ACC have created the Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge this season. The Challenge will take place each year in the last week of November. Seven of the Challenge's 11 games were be nationally televised, including four by the Big Ten Network, two by ESPN2 and one by ESPNU.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Eric Collins and Debbie Antonelli calling the action. The game can also be heard on the Penn State Sports Radio Network with Jerry Fisher (play-by-play) and Chris Morelli (analyst) describing play. Locally the game will air on the radio on WMAJ. The Lady Lions are winless in five career meetings against the Blue Devils, including an 0-2 mark at the Jordan Center. Duke handed Penn State a 70-42 loss when the two teams met last season in Durham.

Tyra Grant (Youngstown, Ohio) continues to lead the Lady Lions in scoring (16.1) and field goal percentage (.566). She has shot better than 55% in six of seven games this season. Kam Gissendanner (Clairton, Pa.) is second on the team in scoring (12.3) and leads the squad with a 7.0 rebounding average.

Freshman post Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids, Minn.) had seven points and seven rebounds in the loss at Old Dominion, while Grant added 12 points and Mashea Williams (Erie, Pa.) chipped in nine tallies.

The Blue Devils are ranked 10th in the ESPN/USA?Today Coaches poll and 11th in the Associated Press poll. Chante Black has led Duke to an early 5-2 this season, averaging 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Jasmine Thomas accounts for 9.0 points and has registered 15 steals this year.

The Lady Lions visit Syracuse on Thursday,?Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., before returning to the Jordan Center for a two-game homestand against Georgetown on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. and Mississippi on Thursday,?Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. The Hoyas game marks the return of former Lady?Lions Terri Williams-Flournoy, who is currently the Georgetown head coach.
