Brendan Lynch Falls in Consolation Match at the All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Senior Brendan Lynch (North Potomac, Md.) lost to Nebraska's David Bendheim on Tuesday in a qualifying consolation match at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships at Cascia Hall on the campus of Tulsa. Bendheim defeated Lynch by a score 6-2, 6-4.

Lynch was vying to become the program's second player, along with Michael James in 2007, to compete in the 64-player main draw at the All-American Championships. The Nittany Lion senior is 62-24 all-time in his stellar career. He ranks second behind Adam Slagter (63) in singles wins among active players.

The Nittany Lions will participate in the ITA Regionals in New Haven, Conn. on Oct. 16-21. Following that, the Big Ten Indoor Championships will take place on Oct. 30-Nov. 3 in Madison, Wis.
