UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's golf team will travel to Purdue this weekend to take part in the 2009 Big Ten Championships. The tournament will be held at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, Kampen Course. The Kampen Course will play as par-72, 6,333-yard.
Sophomore Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia), junior Katherine Murphy (Portsmouth, R.I.), sophomore Victoria Arena (Lansdale, Pa.), junior Lindsay Cullen (Allen, Texas), sophomore Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy), and Emily Riddle (St. Mary's, Pa.) will be representing the Nittany Lions at the tournament.
All Big Ten schools will be attending to battle for the conference title. Nine of the teams participating are currently ranked in the top 100 and three of those are ranked in the top 30.
The event will kickoff on Friday, April 24, with two rounds of play. The first round will begin with tee times from the first and tenth holes at 8 a.m. The second round will begin at 12:30 p.m. There will be one round each on Saturday and Sunday. The third round on Saturday will begin at 9 a.m. and the fourth round will be at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
