UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State women's soccer welcomes seven newcomers to campus this summer. All season long the Nittany Lions will be featured in a video segment called "Meet the Lions" about their experiences heading to Penn State.
Video interviews of the Penn State newcomers will run intermittently throughout the summer season.
Maya Hayes (West Orange, N.J.) continues our segment about the incoming freshmen to the Penn State women's soccer team. Hayes tells us about her time in Germany at the U-20 World Cup, her dog and where she likes to take a walk.
The fifth video in the series of eight is of Bri Hovington (Lothian, Md.).
The fourth video is of Ellen Arnaud (Dallas, Pa.).
The third video is of Hayley Brock (Acton, Mass.).
The second of the year was Emily Hurd, a freshman midfielder out of Sammamish, Wash. Taylor Schram debuted on GoPSUsports.com's video interview June 3, which can be seen below Hurd's video.
Other student-athletes will be added as the summer progresses. "Meet the Lions" will run through the end of training camp (Aug. 19). The remaining student-athletes will be Maya Hayes (Aug. 12), and Tara Barr. One special feature to be added to the program will be new goalkeeping coach Tim Wassell.
Penn State women's soccer opens its season with an exhibition match on Saturday at Villanova (3:00 p.m.) before the first regular-season match at No. 23 West Virginia on Aug. 20 at 7:00 p.m.
