Duo Finishes Up Stay at Tennessee Diving Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.; January 4, 2013 -- Megan Springsteen (Owego, N.Y.) was the top performer for the second straight day at the Tennessee Collegiate Diving Invitational and helped close out the competition on the women's side for the Nittany Lions. Springsteen and Emily Stotesbery (Greenwich, Conn.) both competed on the one-meter board on the UT campus.

In the prelims, Springsteen was the top PSU performer with a six-dive score of 211.05 as one of the first flights of divers. Stotesbery was among the final divers to compete on the one-meter board and compiled a score of 206.70 in six dives. The duo finished 40th and 41st, respectively.

On Thursday, Springsteen and Stotesbery both participated in the three-meter competition in Knoxville, Tenn. Springsteen compiled a score of 192.95 in the competition, while Stotesbery finished close behind with a final score of 192.45 in the prelims.

The Nittany Lions next meetill come on Saturday, Jan. 12 when the squad travels to Fayetteville, Ark. for a tri-meet at Arkansas with Missouri State starting at 11 a.m.
