UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Penn State senior guard Alex Bentley (Indianapolis, Ind.) and junior Maggie Lucas (Narberth, Pa.) have each been named to the 2013 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List, announced by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Bentley and Lucas are two of 20 players on the list and the only two to represent the Big Ten. Penn State is one of five teams to have multiple players on the list, joining Connecticut, Baylor, Duke and Maryland.

The award, to be given to the National Player of the Year, will be presented at the USBWA women's awards press conference on April 7 at New Orleans Arena, home of the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four. Lucas is one of five Ann Meyers Drysdale National Players of the Week from this season that are on the watch list.
