UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 12/16 Penn State women's lacrosse team (8-6, 2-3 ALC) will play its final ALC regular-season game when it hosts No. 7/5 Johns Hopkins (12-2, 2-2 ALC) for a national-televised contest on BTN Friday, April 18. Opening draw at the Penn State Lacrosse Field is set for 6 p.m.

LIMITED BAG POLICY
Penn State has implemented a limited bag policy at all home athletic events this season. One clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag per person will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as needed. Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in a clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag.

PENN STATE TO FACE BLUE JAYS IN ALC REGULAR-SEASON FINALE
The Nittany Lions will play their final ALC regular-season game when they face Johns Hopkins Friday night at the Penn State Lacrosse Field. Head coach Missy Doherty boasts a 4-1 record against the Blue Jays.

ALL-TIME VS. JOHNS HOPKINS
Friday night will mark the 15th time the two conference foes will meet. Penn State holds a 10-4 record after taking the last matchup, 15-14, in 2013. The two programs first met in 2002. Over the last five games between these two teams, four have been decided by three goals or less, including two one-goal games in 2012 and 2013.

Against the Blue Jays, several Nittany Lions have had stellar careers. Senior attacker Mackenzie Cyr (7g, 12a), who has registered three assists in four of five outings against the Blue Jays, leads all Nittany Lions with 19 career points. Junior attacker Maggie McCormick (8g, 5a) has 13 career points, while junior midfielders Kelly Lechner (7g, 1a) and Tatum Coffey (4g, 4a) both have eight career points against their ALC foe.

LAST TIME VS. THE BLUE JAYS
After Penn State took a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the game, the two teams went back and over the full 60 minutes. The Blue Jays took a 7-6 lead into halftime and widened their lead to 14-11 with 7:47 left. The Nittany Lions, however, responded with four unanswered goals to fight back and tie the game at 14 with just less than five minutes left. Mackenzie Cyr netted the game-winner with 31 seconds left as the Nittany Lions clinched a share of the ALC regular-season championship with the win.

After a hard-fought 60 minutes, Maggie McCormick (3g, 3a) led all Nittany Lions with six points, while Kelly Lechner netted five goals in the win. Mackenzie Cyr (1g, 3a) had four points, including the game-winning goal, while Jenna Mosketti (3g) and Tatum Coffey (1g, 2a) both had three points in the win.

Final Stats (PSU-JHU): Shots (26-22), Saves (2-5), Ground Balls (12-8), Draw Controls (16-15), Turnovers (8-13), Caused Turnovers (7-5).

SCOUTING JOHNS HOPKINS
The Blue Jays will enter the game after beating UMBC, 10-6, on Wednesday. Johns Hopkins has a record of 12-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Blue Jays are led by senior attacker Taylor D'Amore, who has 72 points (39g, 33a) and a team-leading 48 draw controls. Six Blue Jays have at least 20 points on the season, and they lead the ALC in caused turnovers.

Between the pipes for the Blue Jays this season has been KC Emerson. The junior goalkeeper has started 12 games this season and has a 9-1 record, while allowing an average of 7.01 goals per game and making 55 saves on 149 shots.

NITTANY LIONS STREAKING
Midfielder Madison Cyr extender her point streak to 11 games after netting a goal against Ohio State. The sophomore has a team-high 39 points and leads the Nittany Lions in goals (33) and shots (63) and ranks second in caused turnovers (19), behind only defender Lauren Purvis (24).

After scoring a goal against Ohio State, junior attacker Jess Loizeaux has registered at least one point in 12 straight games. She currently has 30 points (18g, 12a) on the season, ranking her sixth on the team in that category.

COFFEY SETS CAREER HIGH
In a 13-8 victory over Cornell, junior midfielder Tatum Coffey gathered two assists to push her season total to a career-best 12.

NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP
Against Cornell, sophomore midfielder Madison Cyr registered a career-high five goals and tied a career high with four caused turnovers. In an 18-11 victory against Loyola March 8, Cyr set career highs in points (6) and draw controls (5), while matching her career high in assists (2).

SMUCKER STANDING OUT
With 24 points (21g, 3a) on the season, Abby Smucker is ranked No. 3 among freshman midfielders in the ALC in points. She has the sixth most points among all freshmen in the ALC.

LIONS AMONG ALC LEADERS
Through 14 games this season, the Nittany Lions find themselves toward the top of the ALC in several categories. They rank second in caused turnovers per game (9.50), third in draw controls per game (12.86), and third in points (269.)

CYR CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior attacker Mackenzie Cyr's 99 career assists and 190 career points rank third and 13th, respectively, in program history. Julie Tice holds the program's record with 115 career helpers.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Nittany Lions will close out the regular season April 26 when it hosts Princeton. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
