Penn State Football Season Ticket Renewals Underway

Oct. 14, 2014

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., October 14, 2014 - Nittany Lion Club members can begin renewing their Penn State football season tickets for the 2015 season online.

Coach James Franklin's Nittany Lions will play seven games in Beaver Stadium in 2015, including visits by Big Ten foes Michigan (Nov. 21; Senior Day) and Rutgers (Sept. 19). The Scarlet Knights will be playing in Happy Valley for the first time since 1994. Big Ten opponents Illinois (Oct. 31) and Indiana also will play in Beaver Stadium in next year, with the October 10 contest against the Hoosiers set for Penn State's 96th Homecoming game.

The 2015 season also will see Army (Oct. 3) return to Beaver Stadium for the first time since 1979, which was the last meeting between the institutions. The Nittany Lions and Black Knights have met 25 times, with Penn State owning a 13-10-2 edge. San Diego State will travel to Penn State on Sept. 26 for the first gridiron meeting and Buffalo opens the home schedule.

NO 2015 TICKET PRICE INCREASE

There will not be any increase in the price of Penn State football season tickets or Nittany Lion Club donation levels for 2015. The cost for a season parking pass next season will increase, but represents a savings of five percent off the advance car parking fee and 15 percent off the RV advance parking price. A season car parking pass will be $100 and a season RV parking permit will be $350 for the 2015 campaign.

Nittany Lion Club members can log into their Penn State Account Manager and view their 2015 season ticket invoice. Fans can remit their ticket payment or take advantage of a monthly payment plan option, even if they are considering making a change in seating location via the Beaver Stadium Virtual VenueTM. Payment plans are available online at GoPSUsports.com/accountmanager when fans renew their season tickets.

Nittany Lion Club members can also make their required donation from Penn State Account Manager. Penn State season ticket holders will have an opportunity online to add season tickets and parking passes for the 2015 campaign as well as opting into or out of 2015 seat selection using the Beaver Stadium Virtual VenueTM.

ADDITIONAL NLC POINTS - NOVEMBER 1 EARLY DEADLINE

Season ticket holders who renew their 2015 season tickets by November 1, 2014 will receive five (5) Nittany Lion Club points for making their NLC Donation and three (3) points for making the donation online if done by Nov. 1. A new incentive for this year is an additional five (5) points for patrons who also pay their season ticket balance in full by the early deadline of Nov. 1.

These additional NLC points will be available after November 1 to determine potential bowl ticket eligibility rankings, should the Nittany Lions qualify for a 2014 bowl game.

The earlier renewal schedule will help to ensure a more accurate late February seat selection process, allow season ticket holders to get their season tickets earlier and take advantage of the exclusive NLC single game sale earlier.

FEBRUARY 1, 2015 DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN SEAT SELECTION

The Nittany Lion Club donation and season ticket payment deadline for participation in the Beaver Stadium Virtual VenueTM Seat Selection is February 1, 2015.

Penn State fans, including the energetic, sold-out student section of 21,400-strong, have played a vital role in helping the Nittany Lions post a 54-13 on-field home record since 2005. The Nittany Lions have finished in the top five nationally in average home attendance every season since 1991.

Penn State fans have boosted the home attendance up an average of 7,110 fans (7.2%) per game during the first three games of this season in comparison to the initial three home contests in 2013. More than 6,000 new Penn State football season tickets, 1,200 partial season and 72,000 single game and group sale tickets have been sold for this season.

The Oct. 25 primetime Penn State White Out clash vs. Ohio State is sold out. Tickets are available for Penn State's final three home games of the season: Nov. 1 vs. Maryland (All-University Day and THON Day); Nov. 15 vs. Temple (Military Appreciation Day/Seats For Soldiers) and the Nov. 29 Senior Day clash with Michigan State.
