2014 Garett Open Men's Results
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's fencing team competed in day two of the 42nd annual Penn State Garret Open. The men's team dominated the competition and locked in top place finishes within all three weapons.
Senior David Gomez-Tanamachi (Mexico City, Mexico) sealed in a first place finish for the Nittany Lions in his event of men's foil this afternoon.
Junior Daniel Ashkeboussi (John's Creek, Ga.) finished in third place for his event of men's epee.
Junior Kaito Streets (Redwood City, Calif.) locked in a second place finish in his men's saber competition.
Other notable finishes include junior Nobuo Bravo (San Francisco, Calif.) and sophomore Howie Chan (Hong Kong) who placed 6th and 7th respectively in men's foil. Sophomore Lars Swanson (Mendham, N.J.) finished 12th in men's epee. Khalil Thompson (Teaneck, N.J.) and senior Alex Schneller (Billerica, Mass.) finished 7th and 9th respectively in men's saber.
