UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -
Nittany Lion Club members are reminded they can request tickets for Penn State's possible bowl destination prior to Sunday's bowl selection announcements. Penn State Alumni Association members also will have an opportunity to request bowl tickets early next week.
Coach James Franklin's Nittany Lions are eligible to participate in their 45th bowl game and ranked ninth nationally in bowl appearances entering this season. Bowl selections are likely to be announced by early evening on Sunday, Dec. 7.
As a benefit of membership, Nittany Lion Club members can log onto Account Manager at: GoPSUsports.com/bowlcentral to review the listing of the Big Ten-affiliated bowl games Penn State could be selected to play in. Nittany Lion Club members can then select the bowls they are interested in purchasing tickets for. Credit cards will not be charged until Penn State's bowl destination and opponent are announced on Sunday.
Nittany Lion Club members also can call 1-800-NITTANY, weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., to request bowl tickets. NLC members have until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 to request their bowl tickets. All NLC ticket requests received by this date and time will be allocated based on NLC point totals. The ability to request tickets does not guarantee a Nittany Lion Club member will receive tickets from Penn State's allotment.
As a benefit of membership, Penn State Alumni Association members will be able to request bowl tickets on Dec. 8-9 by calling 1-800-NITTANY from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or visiting the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The ability to request tickets does not guarantee an Alumni Association member will receive tickets from Penn State's allotment.
Should any tickets from Penn State's bowl allotment remain available after the Nittany Lion Club and Alumni Association sales, the public can purchase bowl tickets starting at 10 a.m. on December 10 at GoPSUsports.com/bowlcentral or 1-800-NITTANY.
The Big Ten has several new bowl affiliations this year, including the National University Holiday Bowl in San Diego (Dec. 27), the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in New York City (Dec. 27) and the Foster Farms Bowl in San Francisco (Dec. 30). For a complete listing of the Big Ten bowls Penn State could participate in this year and the ticket prices, go to: GoPSUsports.com/bowlcentral.
Penn State season ticket renewals and Nittany Lion Club membership renewals also are underway for the 2015 campaign. The ticket invoice and Nittany Lion Club renewal deadline is Feb. 1, 2015. There will not be any increase in the price of Penn State football season tickets or Nittany Lion Club donation levels for next season.
