UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The No. 51 Penn State men's tennis team concludes their regular season schedule this weekend as they travel to Nebraska and No. 66 Iowa. The Nittany Lions meet the Huskers on Friday for a 5 p.m. match. On Sunday, they face the Hawkeyes for a Noon contest.

The Nittany Lions, led by Head Coach Jeff Zinn and Assistant Coach Paul Tobin, look to improve their position in the Big Ten standings before next weekend's Big Ten Tournament. The blue and white are currently 13-14 overall and 3-6 in conference play. They are currently in seventh place in the conference, but could potentially move up to sixth.

Last weekend, Penn State won two matches by a 6-1 score, defeating Purdue on Friday and Monmouth on Sunday, but dropped a tight 4-2 match to No. 41 Indiana on Sunday.

Senior Tomas Hanzlik (Prague, Czech Republic) won all three of his singles matches over the weekend, improving to 14-8 this spring and picking up his 20th overall win this year.

Juniors Leonard Stakhovsky (Kiev, Ukraine), ranked 111th in the ITA Poll, and Roman Trkulja (Toronto, Canada) each earned two singles wins. Stakhovsky has 10 wins this spring, while junior Matt Barry (Lido Beach, N.Y.) has 13 victories and sophomore Aws Laaribi (Rye, N.Y.) has 10.

Barry and senior Michael Reilly (Raleigh, N.C.) won all three of their doubles matches, improving to 7-0 this spring. Laaribi and sophomore Alex Fennell (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) are 2-2 at the top doubles spot.

Nebraska enters this weekend with a mark of 10-11 overall and 3-6 in conference play. Last weekend, the Huskers lost 4-0 results at No. 26 Northwestern and No. 3 Illinois.

Junior Dusty Boyer is 11-8 this spring, playing mostly at No. 1 singles, while Marc Herrmann has 10 victories, with most of those coming at No. 2.

Boyer and Bradford Zitsch are 1-5 at the top doubles spot. The Huskers have won the doubles point in seven matches this season.

Iowa is 12-8 overall and 4-5 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes dropped 6-1 decisions against Illinois and Northwestern last weekend.
