UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 43 radio stations in five states will carry the Penn State Sports Network's "The Penn State Coaches Show Featuring James Franklin Presented by Pepsi" this season, with the debut program set to air Thursday, Aug. 20. The program also will be carried live on GoPSUsports.com via Penn State All-Access.
The one-hour program will take place at Lettermans on East College Ave. in State College every Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from late August through mid-March. Fans are invited to attend the program throughout the year.
The August 20 show will feature women's soccer head coach Erica Walsh, Director of Player Personnel Andy Frank and Assistant Athletics Director - Performance Enhancement Dwight Galt.
Football head coach James Franklin will be the featured guest from late August until the end of the football season. In late November, men's basketball head coach Patrick Chambers will be the featured guest until mid-March. This year, in addition to Franklin and Chambers, "The Penn State Coaches Show" will include various coaches from other Penn State teams and athletics administrators.
"The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" will feature guests answering questions from fans at Lettermans and online. Fans can submit questions to www.GoPSUsports.com/askthecoach.
Steve Jones, the radio play-by-play voice of the Nittany Lion football and basketball teams, is host of "The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" and will be joined by Roger Corey, who hosts the Penn State Sports Network's football pre-game Tailgate Show. Jeff Tarman is the producer of the show. Jones and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jack Ham will be calling Penn State football on the Penn State Sports Network for the 16th consecutive season.
"The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" can be heard on stations throughout Pennsylvania as well as New York City and northern New Jersey, Elmira, N.Y., Youngstown, Ohio and Hagerstown, Md.
