Franklin to Join FOX Sports Studio Show for Big Ten Championship Game

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Penn State head coach James Franklin will participate in the FOX Sports broadcast at the Big Ten Championship game Saturday. He will join host Rob Stone and analysts Matt Leinart and Dave Wannstedt on set in Indianapolis for FOX College Football Pregame, as well as at halftime and postgame coverage.

Franklin's appearance begins with FOX College Football Pregame, broadcast nationally, which airs live from 7-8 p.m., ahead of the Big Ten Championship game between Iowa and Michigan State. The quartet will reconvene at halftime during the broadcast to analyze the opening frame and again postgame to discuss the 2015 Big Ten Champion and the Most Valuable Player.

Franklin guided the Nittany Lions to a 7-5 regular season record to become bowl eligible for the 46th time. The Nittany Lions' mentor has guided all five of his teams as a head coach to a bowl appearance. Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib has been a surprise player for the Lions, winning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year accolades to lead the list of 10 Penn Staters selected as All-Big Ten recipients. Nassib is also a finalist for six national awards.

The Nittany Lions are bowl eligible for the 46th time. Penn State's 45 bowl appearances are the ninth-most among FBS schools at the start of the season.
