UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.
- After two-weeks of indoor track & field in Happy Valley, Penn State is home to some of the best marks in the Big Ten, NCAA, USA, and the world, according to Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS) and trackandfieldnews.com.

On the global scale, Penn State is home to the fastest men's and women's 4x800-meter relays in the world, as the relay of Julie Kocjancic, Victoria Crawford, Elizabeth Chikotas, and Tori Gerlach combined to post a world leading time of 8:45.85 on January 9, 2016 during the Penn State Relays - missing the school record of 8:45.60 set in 1984 by 0.25 seconds. For the men, the 4x800-meter relay of Jordan Makins, Bobby Hill, Isaiah Harris, and Brannon Kidder recorded their world leading time at the same meet in a time of 7:25.28.

The Nittany Lions also boast a U.S.A. leading time of 2:18.26 in the 1000-meters recorded by Brannon Kidder during last week's Nittany Lion Challenge at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track, setting the NCAA record and returning the prestigious honor of the fastest collegiate athlete to ever run the 1,000-meter to Happy Valley, as teammate Robby Creese previously held the record from 2012-2014.

At the NCAA level, Penn State has 15 student-athletes in the top-20 of their respective events listed below.

Head coach John Gondak's men's and women's teams combine a total of 49 student-athletes inside the top-20 in their events in the Big Ten Conference including eight conference leading marks.
