Men's Track & Field No. 12 in USTFCCCA Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Penn State men's track & field team opens week three at No. 12 in the latest NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Coaches Poll, as announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Nittany Lion men are coming off the Texas Invitational and Bucknell Classic that saw several athletes turn in top performances in the NCAA this season.


Penn State moves up six spots in the rankings from their position at No. 18 last week.

At the regional level, the men's track & field team moved up one spot into the No. 1 spot in the Mid-Atlantic region from No. 2 in last week's rankings.

The Nittany Lions hit the track again this weekend, splitting athletes between the Stanford Twilight in Stanford, Calif. and the Bucknell Team Challenge in Lewisburg, Pa. Apr. 22-23.

Penn State currently boasts six student-athletes in the Top 20 of the NCAA in their respective events including Brian Leap (53' 4.5"/16.27m) and Isaiah Harris (1:46.05) who are ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in the triple jump and 800-meters, respectively.
