ROSEMONT, Ill. - Currently ranked No. 4 in the NCAA this season in the triple jump; Brian Leap has been named the Big Ten Men's Co-Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
The senior from Bellwood, Pa. won the triple jump at the Penn Relays with a distance of 16.15-meters (53'-0").
Leap also recorded a third-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 7.12 meters at the 122nd Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
This is the second Big Ten Outdoor Field weekly award of his career, earning both accolades this season.
The last Penn State Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week was Leap himself on April 20.
The Nittany Lions host the Jim Thorpe Invite Friday May, 6 at the Penn State Outdoor Track.
