Putsch Tabbed B1G Offensive Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State field hockey junior forward Moira Putsch (Media, Pa.) was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. This marks the first time in her career that Putsch has earned Big Ten weekly honors for the Nittany Lions following a Freshman season at Maryland that saw her earn Big Ten Freshman of the year honors in 2014.

Putsch scored two goals and added three assist over the weekend as Penn State started the season 2-0 posting wins over No. 20 Old Dominion and No. 5 Virginia at home.

Penn State will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to face Temple Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. followed by a Sunday neutral match vs. Albany in Lafayette, Pa. at 2:30 p.m.
