Nittany Lions in the NFL - Week 11

A total of 30 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 20 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

In Week 11 of the NFL season, former Nittany Lions made their presence known to opposing quarterbacks, factoring in on four sacks. Nate Stupar brought down Cam Newton, Jack Crawford got to Joe Flacco, Cameron Wake four Jared Goff and Austin Johnson tallied his first career half-sack when he brought down Andrew Luck. Wake now has 7.5 sacks on the season with all but one coming in the last five games.

Amos made seven tackles and broke up one pass.

Deion Barnes (2012-14), LB, Kansas City Chiefs
Buccaneers 19, Chiefs 17
Barnes is on the Chiefs' practice squad.

Navorro Bowman (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Bowman is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Kyle Carter (2012-15) TE, Minnesota Vikings

Carter is on the Vikings' practice squad.

Jack Crawford (2008-11), DE, Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys 27, Ravens 17
Crawford made a pair of stops, including a sack of Joe Flacco in the fourth quarter.

Garry Gilliam (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks 26, Eagles 15
Gilliam helped Russell Wilson throw for 272 yards and six different rushers combine for 152 yards in a win over the Eagles.

Robbie Gould (2001-04), K, New York Giants

Gould connected on a 46-yard field goal but converted only one of three extra point tries against his former team.

Wake tallied a sack amongst his two stops, as the Dolphins won a defensive battle against the Rams. He is tied for 12th in the NFL in sacks with 7.5 on the season.
