FAIRFAX, Va. - No. 15 Penn State (10-6, 5-2) downed EIVA opponent George Mason 3-1 (25-21, 17-25, 25-16, 25-17) on the road Friday night at the Recreation Athletic Center.
Aidan Albrecht led the Nittany Lion on offense collecting 18 kills on 25 attempts hitting .520 for the night. Albrecht also added one service ace, four digs and one block as well.
Jalen Penrose added 14 kills for Penn State hitting a match high .714.
Luke Braswell led Penn State in assist with 41, while Lee Smith led in digs with six on the night.
Penn State battled through a tough opening set to finish strong hitting over .600 in their final two sets and finishing with a team hitting percentage of .376 for the match.
The Nittany Lions reorded 6.5 team blocks, while allowing George Mason to record 8.5 of their own team blocks.
Penn State travels to take on EIVA opponent Charleston (WV) tomorrow at 7 p.m.
