UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.
- Penn State men's golf will host 12 schools for the 41st installment of the Rutherford Intercollegiate on April 15-16 on the Blue Course in University Park, Pennsylvania.

The par 71, 7,202-yard course hosted the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship in 2009 and numerous other events conducted by the USGA, FCWT, AJGA, IJGT, PGA, Junior Series and the West Penn Golf Association.

The hosting Nittany Lions enter their lone home event of the year as the highest ranked team amongst the field coming in at 38th in the country according to Golf Weekly. The rest of the field consists of Binghamton, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Oakland, Ohio, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Towson, VCU, West Virginia and Xavier.

The Lions' starting lineup consists of junior Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) who is seeking his third consecutive individual tournament title this weekend and Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) who aims to defend his Rutherford Intercollegiate title as well. Sophomore JD Hughes (Carlisle, Pa.), Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) and Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) round out the lineup.

Playing as individuals for the Nittany Lions will be freshman Alec Bard (New Hartford, N.Y.), sophomore Connor Raeman (Canandaigua, N.Y.) and senior Cody Cod (Milford, Pa.).

The Blue and White seek a third consecutive Rutherford Intercollegiate team title after winning in both 2015 and 2016. Last year's win was the team's 25th time claiming the championship and was led by Charles Huntzinger's championship performance with a 10-under, 203.

The Lions will tee off beginning at 7:30am alongside golfers from West Virginia and Rutgers.
