RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Nittany Lions wrapped up the final day of the Bucknell Classic posting 15 top-10 finishes highlighted by Morgan Shigo's win in the hammer throw.
Shigo was one of four Nittany Lions to record a top-three finish joining Frances Bull, Madeline Holmberg, and Hannah Mulhern.
Shigo ripped a throw of 210'-9" (64.24m) that is not only a new personal best, but is also the No. 2 throw in program history in the event.
Bull set a new personal best in the 800-meters crossing the line in 2:09.55 for third-place, before returning to the track a short while later to lay down a time of 57.14 in the 400-meters.
Holmberg finished second in the 200-meters with her time of 24.98 seconds, just a few tenths off her personal best (24.52) as well as taking seventh-place in the 100-hurdles running 14.55 seconds.
Penn State's final top-five finish was Hannah Mulhern who took fifth in the women's pole vault with a clearance of 12'-7.50" (3.85m). Megan Fry and Lexi Masterson took fifth and sixth-place with the same mark as Mulhern while Kasey Kemp finished seventh clearing 12'-1.50" (3.70m).
Lauren Costa brought home a sixth-place finish in the 200-meters with her time of 25.34, while Anton Porter's fifth-place finish came in 10.97 seconds in the 100-meters.
The men's long jump featured a fifth-place finish by senior Robert Cardina who jumped 22'-11.25" (6.99m).
Penn State will return to the track Apr. 21-22 when the Nittany Lions participate in three meets; Stanford Twilight, Bucknell Team Challenge and Virginia Challenge.
