- Three Nittany Lions earned EIVA post season honors, as announced by the conference Tuesday.

Senior Chris Nugent and redshirt freshman Calvin Mende each earned First Team All-EIVA honors, while redshirt junior Aidan Albrecht earned All-EIVA Second-Team accolades.

The three All-EIVA honors brings Penn State's all-time number of conference selections to 205 since 1972.

Nugent, who picks up First Team All-EIVA honors for the second time in his career, has led the team offensively with double figure kills in all but six matches this season. Earning EIVA Offensive Player of the Week honors twice times this season, he also earned his second career AVCA/Sports Imports DI-II National Player of the Week award following a 3-0 week at home posting wins over Princeton, NJIT and No. 1 Ohio State. Averaging 3.21 kills per set and season total of 289 kills, Nugent ranks second on the team trailing only our next honoree.

Calvin Mende earns First-Team All-EIVA honors for the first time in his career following a breakout redshirt freshman season. This year, Mende was named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions tying for a team-high on such accolades. Ranked first on the team with 292 kills, averaging 3.28 per set, Mende ranks sixth in the EIVA in the category.

Aidan Albrecht rounds out the group with his first EIVA postseason accolade earning All-EIVA Second-Team honors. This season, Albrecht's guided the Nittany Lions to a .285 team hitting percentage while helping the Lions put away over 1,400 kills on the season.
