BATON ROUGE, LA.
- Penn State concluded the Battle on the Bayou hosted by LSU bringing home 24 top-three finishes at the quadrangular meet Saturday afternoon at Bernie Moore Stadium.

In the 100-meters, Karson Kowalchuk (5th-place) recorded a personal best time running 10.73 followed by Dan Chisena who took sixth-place in the event running his time of 10.84 seconds.

Keianna Albury led the way in the 200-meters as she finished in a time of 23.92, falling just short of making the outdoor top-10 list by seven one-hundredths of a second (.07).

Tyreek Mathis posted a new personal best of 47.64 in the 400-meters grabbing a top-10 finish on the day with his seventh-place performance.

Danae Rivers recorded her first 800-meter win of the season in her first attempt as she raced to the No. 4 time in Penn State outdoor history with her 2:04.99. Rivers finished over a full second ahead of the next closest competitor in the race.

Rachel Banks finished fourth in the 800-meters with her time of 2:07.45, a new outdoor personal best.

Isaiah Harris made his way around the track in the 1,500-meters finding himself in a photo finish as the sophomore took second-place in the event trailing only LSU's Blair Henderson who finished a mere five one-hundredths of a second ahead of Harris who crossed the line in 3:50.06. Teammate Brandon Tubby wasn't far behind as he finished fourth in a time of 3:56.19.

For the women, Victoria Crawford and Grace Trucilla brought home fourth and fifth-place finishes in the 1,500-meters with times of 4:36.76 and 4:36.98, respectively.

The 100-meter hurdles brought Quenee Dale within a tenth of a second (.10) from her personal best in the event as she finished in 13.85.

Stepping up to the 400-meter hurdles, both of Penn State's athletes recorded personal best as Rachael DeCecco (1:00.04) and Elyse Skerpon (1:01.53) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Kowalchuk, Chisena, Xavier Smith and Malik Moffett combined to carry the baton to the tune of 39.89 finishing second while also recording the No. 4 time in program history.

Later in the meet Chisena returned to the track along with Mathis, Smith and Harris to run a season best time of 3:06.63 in the 4x400-meter relay that sits as the No. 5 time in program history.

The women's 4x400-meter relay of Kiara Lester, Tichina Rhodes, Frances Bull and Rivers crossed the line in 3:41.44 setting a season best mark in the event.

In the field, Megan McCloskey turned in the No. 2 mark in Penn State history as she cleared 5'-11.50" (1.82m) capturing the event title. McCloskey's mark is the third-highest mark cleared this season in the NCAA and puts her in a tie for fifth-place in the nation.

The trio of Hannah Mulhern, Lexi Masterson and Kasey Kemp finished second, third and fifth, respectively, with their marks of 4.02m, 3.87m, and 3.72m.

Madeline Holmberg jumped her way onto the tio-10 list with her mark of 20'-3.25" (6.18m) good for third-place that also sits as the No. 10 performance in school history.

The triple jump saw Penn State record four top-five finishes between teams as Kelsey Vieira and Olivia Giambra finished 1-2 for the women while Bryce Williams and Darian Alston took 2-3 on the men's side.

Jon Yohman tied a personal best in the shot put with his throw of 61'0" (18.59m) finishing second in the event.

Alyssa Robinson finished third in the shot put as she recorded a day's best of 50'-7.75" (15.44m).

Obeng Marfo threw 153'-0" (46.65m) in the discus to finish third, while David Lucas (192'-3"/58.61m), Yohman (168'-8"/51.43m) and Robert Cardina (148'-1"/45.15m) combined to finish 2-4-6 on the men's side.

Robinson and Marfo finished fourth and sixth behind throws of 177'-6" (54.12m) and 172'-1" (52.46m) in the hammer throw, while Morgan Shigo (205'-9"/62.73m), David Lucas (196'-11"/60.02m), and Kory Decesaris (194'-0"/59.15m) finished second, third and fifth, respectively. Lucas' mark was a personal best for the sophomore from Lititz, Pa.

Penn State dominated the javelin throw on both the men's and women's side of the meet.

Stephanie Sievers set a new personal best in the event as she captured the meet title in the javelin with her throw of 159'-9" (48.70m) while second-place in the event was teammate Kayla Zoschg with a day's best of 141'-5" (43.11m).

Michael Shuey led the way for the men winning the meet with a best toss of 238'-3" (72.63m), followed by Ryan Kerr in second (225'2"/68.65m), Michael Biddle in third (221'-0"/67.36m) and Matt Nawrocki in fourth with a best of 200'-9" (61.20m).

Penn State will return to the track next weekend as they travel to nearby Bucknell University for the Bucknell Classic Apr. 14-15 in Lewisburg, Pa.
