WHKY Places 16 on CHA All-Academic Team

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Penn State women's hockey team placed 16 student-athletes on the 2016-17 College Hockey America (CHA) All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference office. Overall, 99 student-athletes were named to the 2016-17 CHA All-Academic Team.

Lindenwood led the way with 23 all-academic representatives, followed by Robert Morris with 20. RIT tallied 17 honorees, followed by Penn State (16), Syracuse (12), and Mercyhurst (11).

Laura Bowman, Kelsey Crow, Hannah Ehresmann, Aly Hardy, Irene Kiroplis, Brooke Madsen, Amanda McLeod, Katie McMillan, Meike Meilleur, Sarah Nielsen, Daniela Paniccia, Amy Petersen, Victoria Samuelsson, Kelly Seward, Bella Sutton, and Christi Vetter.

To qualify for the CHA All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must post a 3.0 GPA or better in all academic semesters in which her team was actively competing.
