UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ââ'¬" The Penn State fencing team finished a four-day long February NAC today, wrapping up NAC action for the month.
Women's saber started the event off on Friday for the Nittany Lions. Freshman Sara Cunningham (Decatur, Ga.) finished her event in 68th. Following the women's saber event was men's foil. Freshman Shane Iverson (Basking Ridge, N.J.) led the Nittany Lions with a 33rd place finish, but not too far behind him was sophomore Andrew Grass (Burke, Va,) in 39th.
The Nittany Lions returned to action on Sunday with women's epee action. Freshman Alexandria Gillis (Dix Hills, Ga.) claimed 61st place out of 227 fencers. Closing out the NAC event for Penn State was freshman Samuel Cohen (Kensington, Md.) in men's saber. Cohen wraps up the event with a 89th place finish in his event.
