UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will look to improve a top-five finish from a season ago at the Big Ten Championship, Friday-Sunday, April 27-29 in Baltimore, Maryland, at Baltimore Country Club.
The 54-hole event will feature 18 holes of play each day on the 7,181-yard, par 70 East Course at Baltimore Country Club. Rounds one and two on Friday and Saturday will tee off at holes one and 10 at 9 a.m. ET with the final round beginning at 8 a.m. ET Sunday. Live scoring will be available here.
"The golf course is a challenge from start to finish with strategy decisions and a demand for disciplined shot making," said Penn State head coach Greg Nye. "The host professional staff, the committees, and the membership at Five Farms provide for an absolute first-class experience for our student-athletes."
The field features all 14 Big Ten Conference members including defending champion Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.
Representing the Nittany Lions will be senior Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) and juniors Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) and JD Hughes (Carlisle, Pa.). Rounding out the lineup will be sophomores Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) and Alec Bard (New Hartford, N.Y.).
Television coverage of the Championship can be seen on Big Ten Network on Monday, May 7 at 5 p.m. ET.
A year ago, Penn State finished in a three-way tie for fourth place in the championship with Huntzinger and Miller finishing in the top 10 individually at fourth and sixth, respectively.
