HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-- The Penn State women's tennis team secured its first road win of the season with a decisive 5-2 victory over Marshall on Sunday afternoon at the Huntington Tennis Club. Penn State improves to 6-2 on the season, while Marshall drops to 2-7.

Once again Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark) got a win in singles, continuing her perfect streak to move to 8-0. Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia) and Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio) continued their doubles perfection as well, with a victory today moving them to 8-0 on the season.

"Playing on the road is never easy and playing back to back days is tough," said head coach Chris Cagle. "I was happy to get the road win today and continue to see improvement in various areas. Our depth helped us today as we won at Marshall for the first time since I have been at Penn State. Big Ten Season is right around the corner so we will get back to work this week to continue our overall improvement as a team."
