The Penn State Coaches Show Debuts Thursday Night

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; More than 40 radio stations in three states will carry the Penn State Sports Network's "The Penn State Coaches Show Featuring James Franklin Presented by Pepsi" this season, with the debut program set to air Thursday, Aug. 29. The program also will be carried live on LionVision on GoPSUsports.com.
 
The one-hour program will be live from Primanti Bros. downtown every Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from late August through mid-March. Fans are invited to attend the program throughout the year. Primanti Bros. has a special on Thursdays where fans can get a 14" cheese pizza for $5.
 
Fans attending the radio show are encouraged to park in the McAllister Street parking garage with the Garner Street parking lot no longer in service and limited street parking.
 
The August 29 show will feature women's volleyball head coach Russ Rose and head football coach James Franklin. Franklin will arrive immediately following practice at approximately 6:30 p.m.
 
Football head coach James Franklin will be the featured guest from late August until the end of the football season. "The Penn State Coaches Show" will include various coaches from other Penn State teams and athletics administrators.
 
"The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" will feature guests answering questions from fans at Primanti Bros. and online. Fans can submit questions to www.GoPSUsports.com/askthecoach.
 
Steve Jones, the radio play-by-play voice of the Nittany Lion football and basketball teams, is host of "The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" and will be joined by Roger Corey, who hosts the Penn State Sports Network's football pre-game Tailgate Show.
 
"The Penn State Coaches Show Presented by Pepsi" can be heard on stations throughout Pennsylvania as well as Youngstown, Ohio and Hagerstown, Maryland.

Penn State opens the 2019 campaign Saturday against Idaho at 3:30 p.m. The Nittany Lions' home schedule features three non-conference games and four Big Ten Conference match-ups. In addition to the Vandals, the Lions host Buffalo (Sept. 7; 7:30 p.m.) and have the 100th all-time meeting with Pittsburgh (Sept. 14; noon) in non-conference action. In Big Ten play, Penn State welcomes Purdue (Oct. 5; noon), Michigan (Oct. 19), Indiana (Nov. 15) and Rutgers (Nov. 30) to Happy Valley.
