ARLINGTON, Texas – With Christmas morning a memory, the Penn State Nittany Lions' (10-2, 7-1 Big Ten Conference) Wednesday afternoon practice at AT&T Stadium was anything but a holiday as they continued preparations for their 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic showdown with the Memphis Tigers (12-1, 7-1 American Athletic Conference).
 
Wednesday's session spanned two hours as the Nittany Lions honed their game plan for the upcoming clash with the Tigers. The day began with Christmas breakfast with the travel party followed by meetings before departing for practice. After practice, the team attended an event at The Main Event entertainment facility in nearby Lewisville before returning to the team hotel. Later in the evening, the team attended a movie at a local cinema.
 
Media Day at AT&T Stadium will highlight Thursday's schedule starting at 11:50 a.m. The Nittany Lions' session will feature Head Coach James Franklin, Defensive Coordinator Brent Pry, Tight Ends Coach and Playcaller Tyler Bowen, Special Teams Coordinator Joe Lorig and players from Penn State's two-deep depth chart. Following media day, the Nittany Lions will practice at 1:15 p.m. in AT&T Stadium before returning to the team hotel.
 
The 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is Saturday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. CST on ESPN. Kickoff is slated for 11:05 a.m.
 
Leading into the two College Football Playoff semifinal broadcasts, this year's Classic is a part of the ESPN bowl lineup for the sixth straight year. Mark Jones and Dusty Dvoracek are set to the call the action from the booth with Olivia Dekker reporting from the sidelines.
 
ESPN Radio returns as the Classic's national radio partner for the eighth consecutive year with Brad Sham and Jordan Rodgers in the booth and Kris Budden on the sidelines to describe all the action from AT&T Stadium.
