UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 32 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 20 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions are perennially a top-20 program in producing players in the NFL. Nittany Lion alum Allen Robinson started the week off with a crucial touchdown on Thanksgiving Day, helping lead the Bears past the Lions.
On Sunday, former Penn State teammates Mike Gesicki and Miles Sanders both recorded their second career touchdowns on the same, as Gesicki and the Dolphins came back to upset Sanders' Eagles. Gesicki caught a 15-yard touchdown in the third quarter while Sanders shined for the Eagles as he set a career high with 83 rushing yards with 17 carries.
In a winter wonderland at MetLife Stadium with James Franklin in attendance, Adrian Amos was solid on defense for the Bears with six solo stops and a pass defended, and on the other side, Saquon Barkley had his best rushing effort for the Giants since a September injury, while Grant Haley contributed with four tackles.
