WINTHROP, Mass. – Penn State freshman Mikayla Lantto received her second weekly award of the season after picking up the CHA Rookie of the Week award for her performance last weekend, Jan. 24-25, at Syracuse.
Lantto scored her second career goal in highlight fashion with a beautiful move on the breakaway in Penn State's 3-1 loss on Saturday.

The freshman from Palmer, Alaska wins her second rookie of the week award after scoring her first career goal plus an assist Dec. 6-7 vs. RIT.
Lantto is one of two Nittany Lions this season to win the conference freshman award. Teammate Mallory Uihlein won the award Oct. 21 and Dec. 2 this season.
Penn State has a bye week this week before returning to the ice Feb. 7-8 to host Robert Morris at Pegula Ice Arena.
