UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's basketball team was within one of #10/10 Maryland at halftime, but the Terrapins used a strong second half to pull away for a 106-69 win Sunday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The program's three-member senior class of Siyeh Frazier, Kayleigh Semion and Jaida Travascio-Green were honored in a pre-game ceremony on Senior Day.

Junior Kamaria McDaniel led Penn State with 22 points, marking her 11th 20-plus point game of the season. Senior Siyeh Frazier followed with 16 points, while junior Alisia Smith chipped in 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Penn State used an early 6-0 run to take a quick 10-6 lead and force a Maryland timeout just four minutes into the game. The Terps scored 12 of the next 15 points, however, to pull in front 18-13 with 2:08 left on the first-quarter clock.
- Freshman Shay Hagans scored five points in the final two minutes of the term and McDaniel added four as PSU wrapped up the first quarter shooting 53.3 percent (8-for-15) from the field to hang within 26-22 of #10 Maryland.
- The Terps opened the second quarter on an 8-2 streak to extend their lead to double digits at 34-24. Freshmen Anna Camden and Shay Hagans then drilled back-to-back three-pointers that sparked a 13-2 run over a 2:52-span to put Penn State on top, 37-36, with 3:21 left in the first half.
- The lead changed hands three times in the final three minutes, but it was the Terps who would take a one-point lead into the locker room at 46-45.
- Maryland took control of the third quarter as the Terps shot 70 percent (14-for-20) from the field and out-scored the Lady Lions 32-11 to pull in front 78-56 heading into the final stanza.
- The fourth quarter was much of the same as Maryland continued its hot shooting to pick up the 106-69 win.

Head Coach Carolyn Kieger
- "First and foremost, today was Senior Day so we obviously want to celebrate Siyeh (Frazier), Jaida (Travascio-Green), and Kayleigh (Semion) and what they've meant to our program and what they've build for Penn State. They've had a tremendous impact on this program for the last four years and it's going to continue. I know they're going to be very successful. Unfortunately we didn't get the win for them tonight."
- "I thought our team played a phenomenal offensive first half. Defensively, we still gave up 46 points and then gave up 60 points in that second half. We took a punch and didn't respond. We have to learn how to fight harder and be tougher."
