Men's and Women's Diving Completes Day One of NCAA Zones

MORGANTOWN, WV.  - Freshman Kevin Sullivan showed up for Penn State on day one of the NCAA Zone A Regional Championships at West Virginia University.

Sullivan led the Nittany Lions with an 18th place finish in the 3-meter overall with a final score of 597.75. 

Senior Christina Crowell led the women with a 19th place finish overall after scoring a 249.80 in the 1-meter. Teammate Sierra Shurts scored a 223.20 to rank her 42nd overall.

Junior Bryce Hoch scored a 279.25 in the 1-meter to land him 25th-place overall.

Although the divers didn't qualify for an NCAA spot on day one, they still have Tuesday and Wednesday to earn an NCAA bid in their respective events. The women will compete in the 3-meter dive tomorrow, while the men will try their hand in the 1-meter. Both teams will compete in the Platform dive on the final day of competition.
