UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's soccer program had 10 of its alumnae named to National Women's Soccer League rosters for the upcoming 2021 season.
The 10 Nittany Lions alums on NWSL rosters are the fifth most of any school in the NCAA. Penn State is one of just three schools in the NCAA that has had at least one player selected in every NWSL draft since its inception in 2013.
Penn State has a pair of alums currently rostered with national teams. Alyssa Naeher remains as the starting keeper for the U.S. women's national team and Erin McLeod was recently called up to Canada women's national team.
Last season, Christine Nairn ('12) and Amanda Dennis ('19) won the inaugural NWSL Challenge Cup as members of the Houston Dash.
