OMAHA, Neb. – Penn State men's swimmer Michael Daly recorded the second-best time of his career in the 200 backstroke and finished 39th (2:03.38) at U.S. Olympic Trials Thursday morning in the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. In the 200 IM, Nittany Lion Hayden Harlow placed 48th overall in the 200 IM (2:06.97).
Daly brings home a seventh-place medal from his performance in the 400 IM Sunday night and a 47th-place finish in the 200 freestyle.
In international Olympic qualifiers in Colombia, Nittany Lion Carlos Vasquez competed in two events representing Honduras. Vasquez finished second in the 200 butterfly final (2:03.84) and swam in the 100 butterfly Thursday.
Jake Houck and Will Roberson represent Penn State in Saturday's U.S Olympic Trials 50 freestyle event with preliminaries beginning at 11 a.m ET. The schedule and availability of broadcast and stream coverage are available here.
