JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – For the third-straight week, the Penn State men's golf team put together a stellar second round as the Nittany Lions shot a 12-under, 276, to move up five spots on the second day of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
 
Penn State is now tied for eighth place in the 15-team field after entering the day in 13th place. The Nittany Lions sit at 9-under overall, 567, heading into Tuesday's final round.
 
Junior Jimmy Meyers shot a career-low 6-under, 66, in Monday's second round to surge forward 13 spots and move into a tie for second place.  Meyers now sits at 8-under, 136, through the first two rounds and is two strokes back of the current first-place golfer of ETSU (10-under).
 
Graduate student Lou Olsakovsky remained steady, shooting a 2-under, 70, Monday and sits at 4-under, 140, and in a tie for 13th place heading into the third and final round.
 
Junior Patrick Sheehan made the largest jump of the day, surging ahead 39 spots into a tie for 26th place after carding a 4-under, 68, Monday. He is 2-under, 142, overall.
 
Freshman Jake Griffin, playing as an individual, is tied for 67th after shooting a 4-over, 76, Monday to put him at 4-over, 148, overall. Freshman Morgan Lofland and graduate student James McHugh are both tied for 73rd after carding even 72s Monday and sitting a 5-over, 149, overall.
 
Action at the Bank of Tennessee concludes Tuesday as the third and final round is set for an 8:30 a.m. start at Blackthorn Club at the Ridges' par-72, 7,147-yard course.
